“Since music is such an important part of my life, I have relished every part of Midsummer’s Music since its beginning, over 30 years ago. From hanging posters to hosting post-concert receptions, serving on the board, and opening my home to house musicians every summer, it has been an absolute joy to work with Allyson and Jim in helping to make MM into the world-class musical organization it is today. So many concerts … so many friends … it is the highlight of each of these past summers!”
~Peggy Lott
“According to music dictionaries, a grace note refers to a note one step above or one step below that embellishes the written note. In other words, Midsummer’s Music GRACENOTES group adds or embellishes the concerts, receptions and contributes to many of the behind-the-scenes jobs necessary to enhance the programs. Personally, Chris and I love to host receptions. Not only is it an excellent opportunity to share and serve some of our favorite snack recipes, desserts and wines, it is a great opportunity for us and the other concert goers to mingle with the musicians. When the music ends, the concert is not over!”
