We’re here to help!
Join us to toast French independence. Each of our three works represents a different vision of France, so we are going to sample different French wines that complement their paired musical work. D’Indy brings us a French postcard painted by harp, flute, and strings. Bordes uses flute (played by Heather Zinninger) and strings to transport us to the Basque region, and Claude Debussy enchants us with an impressionistic vision straight from the Louvre with his evocative String Quartet. Sommelier Jay Hutchinson shares some of his favorite appellations for this special occasion at three of our four concerts in this program.
