This program is sold out. Please see the Midsummer’s Music calendar for how to view the program online on Tuesday, November 9.

Jim Berkenstock, President and Artistic Director of Midsummer’s Music, invites you to a fascinating presentation entitled “Music and the Brain: The Unsung Duet” on Monday afternoon, November 8. He will be joined by the Griffon String Quartet in an interactive exploration with you to answer questions like, “Why do I enjoy music?” … “Do I have any hidden talent?” … “Is there innate musicality in infants that persist throughout life?” … “What hidden promises does music possess?” and “What musical secret did Einstein know about and employ?”

Along the way, learn how music works and how we work, especially from a musical standpoint. The presentation will be informal, informative, intriguing, and it will be enlivened by the talent of the wonderful Griffon String Quartet. Admission is free but reservations are necessary. The session will last about an hour and will include a question-and-answer period. This program will be recorded for a virtual presentation on November 9 by the Brain Center of Green Bay as a part of its Guest Speaker Series.
