Midsummer’s Music Names New Associate Director

Michelle Meacham brings solid business administration experience to the organization.

Sister Bay, Wis. – February 19, 2021 – A graduate of Carroll University, Michelle Meacham has worked in communications and business administration for more than 20 years. Her experience includes a wide range of projects, including coordinating local festivals, hosting musicians from around the country, and running a business focused on artisan ice for better beverages.

Her Associate Director responsibilities include managing office operations, staff, budgets, and vendor relations; coordinating concert and event logistics and support; ensuring accuracy in financial and patron management systems; providing customer support for inquiries and ticket sales; and preparing operational reports for the board of directors.

A Door County native, Michelle has lived in Milwaukee and Phoenix, and she loves to travel the world. While she is reluctant to pick favorites, travel highlights thus far include getting up close to Bedouin camels in Kuwait and being a VIP for an Ernest Shackleton event at Westminster Abbey.

No matter where she roams, her passion for music appreciation drives her daily life, and she is rarely to be found without her earbuds in or speakers on, unless of course she is at a live performance, which is the ideal state.

When she is not working or spending time with her two nearly adult children, Michelle enjoys yoga, being on the water (especially sailing), and researching Antarctica.

Midsummer’s Music celebrates 31 years of bringing chamber music to Door County in 2021. The summer season of concerts will include live, socially spaced events as well as virtual events. Visit www.midsummersmusic.com for schedules.

Midsummer’s Music was co-founded in 1990 by Jim and Jean Berkenstock, long-time Door County summer residents and principal orchestral players with the Lyric Opera of Chicago. What began as two concerts among friends has become one of the Midwest’s most anticipated chamber music series, bringing thousands of chamber music enthusiasts from around the globe to the magical Door County Peninsula.
